Eagle Scout Scholarship Program To all Eagle Scouts of Washington County, Ohio
The Marietta Chapter Sons of the American Revolution invites all Eagle Scouts of Washington County, Ohio (under the age of 19 by 31 Dec. 2008) to apply for the SAR Eagle Scout Scholarship.
For more information about the Marietta Chapter, please check out our web-site at mariettasar.org or contact any of the members listed below. If you are interested in membership we have members and associates that will help with the application process. The SAR is a historical, educational, and patriotic non-profit, United States 501(c)3, corporation that seeks to maintain: the institutions of American freedom; an appreciation for true patriotism; a respect for our national symbols; the value of American citizenship; the unifying force of e pluribus unum that has created, from the people of many nations, one nation and one people. We do this by perpetuating the stories of patriotism, courage, sacrifice, tragedy, and triumph of the men who achieved the independence of the American people in the belief that these stories are universal ones of man's eternal struggle against tyranny, relevant to all time, and will inspire and strengthen each succeeding generation as it too is called upon to defend our freedoms on the battlefield and in our public institutions. All inquiries should be directed to: Barry Cheuvront, Chairman, Eagle Scout Committee, 740-423-7147, mailing address: 715 Moore Ave., Belpre, Ohio 45714-1421 or email: bdchevy@yahoo.com Or Jean Yost, President, Marietta Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, 740-678-8060, or email jean.yost@gmail.com . |
