Richard Allison was Physician General of the U.S. Army from 1792 to 1796. This position later became the Surgeon General.  Allison was the first physician to set up a permanent practice in Cincinnati, Ohio.

[NAME UNKNOWN] ALVORD

On August 22, 1786, Alvord, Dustin and Fox got permission to go fishing in the evening.  They took a canoe and deserted from Fort Harmar.  On August 28th, the three men returned.  They were court martialed and sentenced to receive 100 lashes.  Fox and Dustin were pardoned.  Alvord received his punishment – he was an old soldier and had persuaded the others to leave with him.
